Taft HS is offering a FREE Practice SAT on Monday Feb. 20th on the Taft HS campus. Students DO NOT have school that day but Ms. Salazar will be on campus to administer the practice test.

Students MUST sign-up in the Career Center by Thursday Feb. 16th to take advantage of this FREE opportunity!!!

Students who take the Free Practice SAT Exam will receive results during a ScoresBack Session which includes information on how to improve their scores for the Real SAT exam scheduled in May or June.

Seniors will attend the ASVAB Score Interpretation during their Science or an elective course. The names will be listed on the hallway walls. Students need to attend during their assigned period for attendance purposes.

NISD and Alamo Colleges are working together to bring our students the College Connection program. This program is in it’s 5th year and is the district’s initiative to give every senior in our high school post-secondary opportunities.

Upon graduation, students who have participated in this partnership will be ready to acquire a 2-year degree, certificate, license, or complete a transfer degree program at the Alamo Colleges.

The first step of process is for our seniors to participate in an orientation. Seniors will learn more about what the Alamo Colleges has to offer.

The Second step, will be the application process. All seniors will have the opportunity to complete their College Application during the week of December 5th.
